For sellers

Did Classeeker contact you about your car?

I’m Thomas Reynaud. I’ve worked the US collector car market since 2007 and I’ve been coming to the United States regularly since 2017. If I wrote to you, it’s because your car is a serious candidate for a purchase, and I’m the person you will deal with from start to finish.

Reach me directly

Happy to do a video call in front of your car, on whatever you already use: FaceTime, WhatsApp or Zoom.

Before anything else

A few ways to know who you are talking to, on your own terms.

Call me back

Use the number on this page, (310) 496-6906, rather than one given in an email or a text.

Talk on video

We walk around the car together. Nothing to install, no account to create.

Look up the company

Classeeker LLC is registered with the Florida Division of Corporations under document number L25000500988. Search it on Sunbiz (opens in a new tab).

Ask for a reference

On request, I put you in touch with a seller or a dealer I have bought from, with their permission. You reach them through their own published contact details.

If we move forward

Each step comes when it’s useful, never all at once.

  1. Inspection

An independent inspector visits the car by appointment, at a time that suits you. You get the inspector’s name and company in advance, so you can call that company yourself. Classeeker charges sellers nothing, for this or anything else.

  2. Documents

No sign-up, and we keep talking where you already are: phone, text, email or the messaging of your listing. Documents such as a title copy or a bill of sale are asked for only when they are needed, with the reason why.

  3. Payment

By bank wire, for the agreed price. Before the title is signed over, you have in writing who is buying, who is paying, the amount, and how the car and the title will be handed over. You confirm the funds with your own bank, by phone or in your online banking, never from a screenshot or an email.

  4. Pickup

Only once your bank confirms the wire has arrived. You know the transport company and the driver’s name before the day. If anything has to change, I confirm it with you by phone before the pickup.

What I will never ask of you

  • Accept a check, or an overpayment with a request to send back the difference.
  • Buy a vehicle history report, or anything else, on a website I point you to.
  • Pay for the inspection, the transport, or any fee. Classeeker charges sellers nothing.
  • Click a link to “receive” a payment, or share a banking login, a password or a code sent to your phone.
  • Sign the title over or release the car before your own bank confirms the money is there.
  • Accept a new payer, transport company or driver without my confirming it with you by phone first.

If someone using the Classeeker name asks you for any of this, it isn’t me. Call me at (310) 496-6906. Fraud can also be reported to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
